GRANOLLERS MERCAT – Innovating in talent recruiting practices

Granollers Mercat is the agency for economical promotion and jobs at the Granollers Townhall (Barcelona). They provide services for the business community as far as talent search is concerned, and also for individuals that are in active job search.

This project consisted of an event to help the business community innovate in the employee experience at the Vallès Oriental.

We carried out a serious of talks such as:

-presentation of the services offered by Granollers Mercat

– Masterclass with the Latest trends applied to talent recruiting

– Key note talk with Laura Arlà (Talent area at Damm) to share best practices around employee experience

-Workshop to redesign recruiting practices with an employee centric perspective.

25 different business representatives attended the event and left it with very positive remarks.

In Nestlé Spain 2018, we have carried out 100 DISC assessments for the Human Resources and Finance teams, in addition to providing training in DISC, reinforcing the development of communication and conflict management skills for these teams.

Previously, for other divisions of the company, such as the commercial area of Nestlé Icecreams, we developed various managerial and team coaching events, with a fun experiential and motivating methodology. These actions took place in Valencia and Cuenca in 2010.

“Think global and act locally”.

Girbau is a company that manufactures and distributes industrial laundry machinery on a global basis. It has its headquarters in Vic (Barcelona) and subsidiaries all over the world. 

Since 2015, we have implemented a project together with Girbau’s HR management and the total involvement of the company’s owners in order to develop management leadership in three continents (USA, Europe and Australia). The project has consisted in the analysis of the leadership profile of the top management and the middle managers through 360º tools and DISC. In addition, we have done consultancy in HR, Teambuilding actions and executive coaching, accompanying the process of growth and expansion of Girbau.

ABM is a small company that has been transformed on several occasions since it was founded in 2000. Firstly, to respond to its growing number of clients. Then, to face the crisis in the construction sector that affected most of its customers and most recently to respond to the challenge of digital agenda.

In 2016, Araland Business began working with the company’s leadership in a process of development of the business’ strategy and innovation, which we branded “EiI”. This project had as its basic goal to empower all the employees and involved them in the strategic change processes the company needed to take.

On a previous phase, we prepared the team for the innovation processes. We then carried out an analysis of the 360º leadership culture of the teams and also different workshops and individual meetings in order to co-define a new way of working that could foster innovation and the development of internal talent.

On a second stage, we covered a scoping and ideation workshops and meetings to focus on growth opportunities and prepare “prototypes or pilots” to test new lines of work.

Currently, our collaboration with ABM is still on-going.

According ABM’s director, Robert Mas, the first “EiI” results have been very positive. “The work process has allowed us to generate awareness in the whole company’s team about the need to innovate to adapt to the market and to make Sustainable business. Besides, EiI’s program has led to the emergence of new leaderships together with changes at the organization level, suggested by the professionals themselves. This program has allowed us to generate a dynamics of strategic analysis from which different business proposals that are being worked on to create new business lines “.

We have been working with Taaf since 2012, and we have witnessed its transformation, expansion and growth,. In our first project for TAAF, they were 9 employees. Now they are 20 , and they are growing and expanding to other locations throughout Spain.
We have implemented digital transformation consultancy projects for the Support and customer service teams. We have carried out Management Development actions, through DISC assessments, and TEIQ, executive coaching and training activities. We have also trained front office employees in communication and public presentation skills and we have conducted motivation and coaching- in -the -kitchen events.

Taaf S.l. It is a very efficient, agile, innovative technological company capable of adapting to the challenges of the millennium, in terms of people, economic and environmental.José Ramón, TAAF’s general manager, contacted us on several occasions, one of them to accompany his team with an event to celebrate the business 15th anniversary.
After training, Jose Ramon stressed that all are more committed, to understand the work of other departments, and better customer oriented.
